Multifaceted supergroup DuPont Brass, has a unique sound, message and style that the world needs to hear. Hailing from the nation’s capital Washington, D.C., the group was formed after five music majors from Howard University banded together to raise money for tuition during the Christmas season. Returning to the music scene with an impressive new single titled “Summer Vibes”, they are showing the world that their talent is ready to hit the forefront of music. Operating as a 9-piece ensemble, DuPont Brass consists of brass, a rhythm section, and vocalists. Gaining popularity from playing at local Metro DC stations, the band started professionally playing for weddings, banquets, and other private events in the surrounding area; they were able to secure gigs at the D.C. Jazz Festival, Strathmore Center for the Arts, The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, The National Cannabis Festival, and a residency with Washington Performing Arts.With a hot new single and a thriving original sound, “Summer Vibes” is the perfect summer record to vibe to. Produced by Ant, the band’s trumpet-playing MD, this single presents a refreshing twist to a classic groove that bridges the past and present.
