Michael Barber is now a member of Hoopla Worldwide and Death Row Records, and what better way to welcome his signing to a new label then with an all out shots fired track entitled, Ruthless. Ruthless takes aim at white rappers, Asher Roth, Mac Miller and Wax and has a quick line about upcoming Warner Music artist, Kirko Bangz. Barber, who has been known for taking shots at Roth, fires at now dropped Def Jam artist, Wax, calling him a scrub, and he jokes on pop/rapper Mac Miller with a dance line calling Miller, a Macaroni. Barber recently put out a 4 mix tape EPs before it was announced that he was carrying on the Death Row logo along side Hoopla Worldwide who signed a distribution deal with WIDEawake Entertainment, who purchased the old Suge Knight name and catalog for $17 Million Dollars. Ruthless is a fun, piano driven track, produced by Barber, that borrows an Eazy-E type of flow and some of the lyrics from the NWA classic, “Boys in the Hood.” Barber is planning to release his debut album, “Thrift Shop to Hip Hop”, on Hoopla Worldwide, WIDEawake Entertainment, Death Row Records, and will be distributed by Eone Music. Barber’s band, Illuminati Sky, is currently gearing up to tour the southeast.
