If TABLEEK's newest contribution to the Maspyke legacy is any indication of the truth in the term "gets better with time", then the aptly titled "Knew Subliminal (No Shorts)" will reveal a new gem in the much respected legacy of the crew even Mos Def proclaimed was "one of the most important crews in Hiphop". Officially solo since the ABB release Static LP, TABLEEK begins this next era by blowing out the competition dropping:
"..blow ya fire out, Bleek on a higher route, general.
back out the kitchen with the new subliminal.."
TABLEEK's flow essentially riding through the dark matter in between the driving rhythmic bassline and drums, is nothing short of hypnotic. Definitely one of the illest Roddy Rod (Maspyke/Low Budget) compositions to date, and a perfect re-introduction and prep for the new LP
Disclaimer:THIS IS NOT WALT DISNEY SOUNDING BEATS OFF THE PLAYSTATION!
There's a place for that. Over here though, we pushin' that BDK 'Raw', that Jay Elect/Dilla lyrical/aural assault to your senses..All original. All soul. All real. All dope.
Video soon. Stay Tuned, you will not be disappointed..
