Empress J is a quadruple threat in the entertainment industry. She is a singer, writer, dancer and actress/producer.
Empress founded and is the CEO of Healing Out Loud Theater & TV Productions, Island Fete Fitness Dance Company and Empress J Music. To her credit she has collaborated and made her songwriting debut on Ginuwine's "The Life"project with her sensual song "Role Play". She had her own band that created a unique sound called “Crunk Rock” a fusion of Rock, Hip Hop and Reggae. In addition to performing stage and film productions, she has written for stage and screen as well. Empress’ passion to keep her Caribbean heritage alive manifested in the creation and branding of two genres that celebrates the diverse and rich culture of the Caribbean Diaspora. Empress J is also a Caribbean American Soca artist representing her Bajan Heritage. She pays tribute to her Caribbean and African background through her music. Her song “Show Meh” was her Soca debut and hit in Trinidad Carnival 2017 on the airwaves and for Carnivals, Festivals and Fetes (parties) both nationally and internationally. She has had the opportunity to perform alongside Barbados own Alison Hines, Fadda Fox, Peter Ram and General D, Trinidads, Destra, Patrice Roberts, African artist Ketchup, and St. Lucian Soca artist producer Motto just to name a few. Since then she has released hit after hit working with some of the best producers and artist in the Caribbean Market. Empress J has been on the American music scene for years doing various genres of music including Gospel, Hip Hop and yes even Rock! But at her core she is Soca and Caribbean music! She has been featured on radio stations such as Hott 95.3 in Barbados, TNT Radio,Team Soca, Caribbean Power Jam, and many more. Her 2021 EP “ B.O.S”. shows her versatility and showcases the hit “Breathe” featuring dancehall superstar Sean Paul. She is a Sony Music/Rich Nation Independent artist only one of two representing the Caribbean Music Genre. Her raspy, but sensual register, and unique blending of Caribbean and American vibes, makes Empress J’s gritty and unapologetic-ally raw lyrics something to remember!
